Ronda Rousey Admits To Having Suicidal Thoughts

Being famous allows you to do many things, but it doesn’t let you escape some aspects of life. You might win a lot, but every once in a while you will lose, and while us common folk are dealing with this every day, famous people might have a harder time coping with a loss of any kind.

The latest example of this comes from Ronda Rousey. The martial artist/actress/model took a hit when she lost to Holly Holm in the main event at UFC 193 in November last year. While the fans felt bad, Rousey’s thoughts were much, much darker.

While sitting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, Ronda opened up about what was going through her head moments after losing the epic fight.

She said: “Honestly, my thought…I was like, in the medical room and I was down in the corner and I was sitting in the corner like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?’ And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself that exact second. I’m like, ‘I’m nothing; what do I do anymore? And no one gives a s*** about me anymore without this.”

But then she added: “I looked up and I saw my man Travis [Browne] was standing up there, and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies I need to stay alive. Really, that was it.”

It seems like nothing gets you away from taking your own life like thinking about a new one. We hope this reaches all Ronda Rousey fans, as well as all of you who are struggling with loss and other hardships life might bring.
