Life and Style magazine is reporting that Pax Thien Jolie, the new son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has been the target of an elaborate kidnapping plot in Los Angeles to take the adopted Vietnamese child and hold him for $100 million ransom. Reportedly, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have tightened security after their bodyguards heard of the "credible and meticulously planned" plot to grab Pax Thien, their newly adopted three-year-old son.
A source spoke to Life and Style and claims that a few highly skilled operatives with little regard for human life were ready to snatch the son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and had devised a plan to demand a ransom of $100 million for his safe return. The sources says that "Brad and Angelina would have a number of days to hand over the money of risk the boy's life."
Reportedly, the gang that was ready to kidnap the son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had been behind previously carried out kidnappings in the past. A spokesman for the couple has denied the kidnapping claim, but a friend of the couple swears that Angelina Jolie was informed of the plot as she was preparing to leave Vietnam and that the "life drained out of Brad" when his security team told him about the plot and that his son might be in legitimate danger. The friend says that Angelina "sobbed that she'd die if anything happened to Pax."
Playfuls reports that another pal of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pit claim that the couple "have gone into total lockdown mode. He's (Brad) added manpower around their LA home and has told security he doesn't want Angie or the kids leaving the house without at least five security people." Angelina Jolie isn't taking the kidnapping plot lightly either - "She isn't sleeping and barely eats. She doesn't let the kids out of her sight. She seems on the verge of a breakdown."
In other Angelina Jolie news, the recent story that the biological mother of Pax Thien was an addict may have been fabricated by the British tabloid News of the World. Mr. Pham Chien, the grandpa of Pax Thien told VietnamNet, "Firstly, we haven’t seen Sang (Pax' birth name), let alone bring him to Tam Binh Orphanage as mentioned in the article. Secondly, our family hasn’t signed any paper concerning our grandchild. This is the job of Tam Binh Orphanage. We were merely informed of the adoption by the orphanage and the HCM City Department of Justice. Our family has nothing to do with any lawsuit or money demand."
Finally, reports that Angelina Jolie would take time off to be a full-time mom have garnered some ire from Us Weekly, who call the actress a hypocrite for signing up for a third upcoming project that will keep her away from home. They also claim that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have fought about the size of their family with a source telling Us, "After adopting three kids in five years, it's possible that [Angelina's] picked up a form of domestic addiction... Sources tell Us that the couple of more than two years have been at odds about expanding their brood so quickly after Shiloh's birth. 'They had a huge argument before she left for Vietnam,' says a source. 'He wanted her to slow it down, spend time with Shiloh and have more biological children."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt aren't married, although rumors abound that they will soon, but have been together since they met on the set of Mr & Mrs. Smith. Brad Pitt has gone on to star in Best Picture nominee Babel and Angelina Jolie appeared in last year's The Good Shepherd, which hits DVD on April 3rd. The two are working together on a film about the widow of slain journalist Daniel Pearl called A Mighty Heart. Brad Pitt has become legal guardian to Maddox and Zahara and will likely be the same for Pax Thien. He is, of course, also the father of Shiloh Nouvel, Angelina Jolie's daughter.
