Everybody wants to talk about celebrity relationships, except for celebrities, but who can blame them? After the highly-publicized break-up of Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz, the tabloid media had a field day reporting on everything from the causes of their break-up to their post-Golden Globe party fight to their new potential lovers. Though JT has been linked to Hollywood bombshell Scarlett Johansson, and Cameron Diaz has been linked to Djimon Hounsou, the tabloids have been quick to jump all over a meeting between the two at a Hollywood hotel.
Justin Timberlake was in a hotel with a few colleagues, one of whom was Oscar-nominated director Martin Scorsese, when Cameron Diaz strolled into the room. An eyewitness later told People magazine that, "Cameron never joined their table." The witness explained, "She just showed up and Justin got up and started talking to her. They were being very discreet. They weren't kissing or holding hands or anything, but they were being very friendly."
The source continued, "When I first saw this girl, I thought, 'That's not Scarlett Johansson or Jessica Biel. Then it hit me - it was Cameron! She was low-key; her hair was dark and pulled back." Reports indicate that both Diaz and Timberlake left the Whisky Bar in the Sunset Marquis Hotel together roughly half an hour later.
While Justin Timberlake has been linked to both Jessica Biel and Scarlett Johansson since he and Cameron Diaz split, Diaz has been keeping busy herself. First, she was spotted with surfer Kelly Slater catching some waves, but rumors of a romantic involvement were quickly dismissed by both parties. But, more recently, reports have placed Cameron Diaz in a possible relationship with Blood Diamond star Djimon Hounsou.
People magazine again had a source that spotted Diaz with a man. The source said, "It looked like the perfect post-Valentine's Day date. They were totally vibing each other, lip-on-lip action. Cameron looked so happy, Djimon was following her every move. They danced to Michael Jackson's 'Burn This Disco Out' and Gnarls Barkley's cover of 'Gone Daddy Gone'. They were dancing really close, their bodies were pressed together."
However, a rep for Diaz was quoted by Monsters and Critics as saying that, "Cameron was out to dinner with friends, they ran into Djimon and he joined them for a drink at Hyde. They are friends, nothing more." Cameron Diaz, 34, had been involved in a long-term relationship with Justin Timberlake up until December 2006.
