The headline here is referring to Howard A. Stern, the radio host shock jock that has made a name for himself by saying anything and everything on his mind, NOT the boyfriend of Anna Nicole Smith and potential father of her child, Dannielynn Stern.
Now that we have that cleared up, Howard Stern shocked his fans once again when he announced one Wednesday that he has become engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Beth Ostrosky. In an unusually romantic gesture, Stern, 53, popped the question on Tuesday night to 34-year-old Ostrosky by asking her, "you want your Valentine's Day gift now?"
However, in more classic Howard Stern fashion, Stern detailed every bit of his R-rated proposal on his Sirius satellite radio show. According to E Online, the first thing Stern asked Beth Ostrosky to do was to strip naked. Ostrosky balked at the demand, claiming that she was too fat to get naked. Stern recalled for viewers that "any girl who looks like that and thinks she's fat - I've got a chance with her."
After Beth Ostrosky gave in and disrobed, the romantic Howard Stern pulled out a 5.2 carat Richie Winick diamond ring for his longtime girlfriend. On Howard Stern's radio show, he recalled his proposal for viewers to hear. E Online quoted the proposal message as being, "I love you," followed by, "You're everything to me. This is so gay...I'm asking you to spend the rest of your life with me."
Once Howard stern had a "Yes" from Beth Ostrosky, and after the two consummated their engagement, Stern placed a call to Ostrosky's father in order to gain permission to marry his daughter. E Online reports the elder Ostrosky had only blessings for Stern, save for one condition: "Never call me Dad." That won't be an issue for some time, as no wedding date for Stern and Ostrosky has been set, and Stern said on his radio show that he anticipates a very long engagement.
Howard Stern, who has been married once before, had previously stated on his morning radio show that he would never get married again after divorcing his last wife. However, Beth Ostrosky, who has starred in Flirting With Disaster with Ben Stiller and Whipped alongside Amanda Peet, and most recently appeared as the host of the G4 series, Filter, seems to have melted the heart of one of radio's toughest DJs.
