Olivier Martinez didn't take long to find new female companionship after his high-profile split with Kylie Minogue, being spotted this weekend hugging the gorgeous Oscar-nominated actress Penelope Cruz in public. The Daily Mirror printed photographs yesterday of the Blood and Chocolate star embracing the Volver star mere hours after the world learned that he had split from Minogue.

It's only been days since Martinez and Minogue split up, but the Frenchman has already been romantically linked with three other women. And now, this weekend, Martinez was spotted hugging Penelope Cruz at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, the same hotel where he fell in love with Kylie and just hours after the split was announced. He doesn't seem to be taking any time after the breakup.

Of course, Kylie Minogue's not too happy about the way Martinez is handling the situation. A source from her camp said that Minogue would be devastated by the new photos of Martinez and Cruz - "Does he really have to rub Kylie's nose in it? He is being so brazen about it all. This will devastate her. Kylie is a very sensitive woman who loved him with all her heart but he looks like he doesn't have a care in the world. He clearly isn't worried about her feelings. He approached Penelope seconds after she sat down to have lunch with her friends.""

The Kylie and Olivier relationship ended after Martinez chose to play a game of elephant polo instead of attending Minogue's comeback concerts after her battle with cancer. A friend with quoted by the Courier Mail, "That was the moment of truth for her. It wasn't the rumours of other women, although that hurt her deeply. He was happy to muck around on an elephant, but he wasn't prepared to join her for the most important concert of her life."

The pair issued a statement on Friday, as quoted by WENN, "Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple. They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. The media's false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends."

There were rumors that Olivier Martinez was unfaithful through out his relationship with Kylie Minogue. Monsters and Critics reports that the actor was linked to Israeli model Sarai Givati recently and that the couple split after Olivier and Sarai were seen at a Hollywood hotel together. Last summer, Olivier was seen with Michelle Rodriguez, from Lost, and reportedly saw her again recently. And, in 2005, Martinez was seen with Salma Hayek and Celine Balitran. In fact, just a few months after he started dating Kylie in 2003, he was romantically linked with his Taking Lives co-star Angelina Jolie.
